2005 North Dakota Legislation

Senate Bills
SB 2229Establishes a renewable energy development commission and appropriation. Bill addresses ethanol content of gasoline, state purchase of energy, and corporate and individual income tax credits for renewable energy use.
 
SB 2238Creates and enacts a credit against rural electric cooperative gross receipts taxes and a credit against corporate income taxes for electricity purchased from school districts that generate electricity using wind turbines and to provide an effective date.
 
SB 2239Creates and enacts wind option agreements, easements, and leases.
 
SB 2365Provides an appropriation to the Department of Commerce for the purpose of providing state match funds for wind-to-hydrogen demonstration projects.

HB 1169Creates the North Dakota transmission authority whose task will be to provide for the planning, constructing, owning, financing, maintaining, and operating of electric transmission facilities and related infrastructure, and authorize issuance of revenue bonds.
