How's the Water?

The Red offers recreational activities summer or winter.
The water in the Red River is the Fargo-Moorhead area is generally of good quality, but individual parameters can vary. This section gives a season-by-season rating of Red River water quality by parameter. The rating scale used here is informal and was developed by FM River to help you understand issues related to changes in the amounts of specific parameters. This informal scale uses the results from the FM River volunteer water quality monitoring to set informal Good, Fair and Poor ranges for each parameter.
