Scanning Electron Microscope Morphology
|
This technique uses one of several scanning electron microscopes equipped with x-ray microanalyzers and
image analyzers to examine the morphological and chemical characteristics of a sample. Some of the
procedures available within the technique include high-resolution photomicrographs using secondary
and backscattered electron detectors, elemental mapping, and quantitative chemical analysis of points.
The sample can be in any form that is stable under a vacuum.
