The EERC's eleven Centers
of Excellence are leading the world in developing advanced energy systems and the prevention and cleanup of air, water,
and soil pollution. Each Center of Excellence has received national and/or international recognition as a leader in its
respective topic area.
The Centers of Excellence were initiated to provide solutions to strategic energy and environmental issues.
All of the centers have become vitally important to the nation and the region by drawing more opportunities for research,
manufacturing, and the evolution of new jobs. Each of them has the potential to be the cornerstone for new spin-off
companies.
