| Progress Materials Inc. Crystal River facility supplies a lightweight aggregate from fly ash to Florida Mining and Materials Corporation for use in concrete masonry. Since start-up in 1988, this plant has produced in excess of 1,000,000 tons of aggregate. Aardelite takes full advantage of the pozzolanic properties inherent in most coal fly ash. Aardelite technology achieves economic and technical success both by optimizing the cementitious reaction and by producing a readily marketable lightweight aggregate. |
