Jointly Sponsored Research Program

A Partnership Investment Opportunity
The EERC provides an opportunity for participation in an EERC-developed Jointly Sponsored Research Program (JSRP), which provides up to 35% cofunding through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) for work conducted at the EERC.

Objective
The objective of the JSRP is to promote the deployment of advanced technologies for improving energy efficiency and environmental performance through jointly sponsored research on topics that are not adequately addressed by the private sector alone.

Base Program
An associated Base Program supports fundamental studies on scientific and engineering foundations for new and improved energy technologies and a wide range of related environmental issues. This two-part agreement (Base and JSRP) is designed as a model for research, development, demonstration, and commercialization (RDD&C) partnerships between government, industry, and the applied science and engineering communities that can bring cutting-edge technology closer to commercial application.

Opportunities
The EERC is continually seeking opportunities to invest this funding in partnerships with commercial entities to demonstrate, commercialize, and effectively apply efficient, nonpolluting energy technologies that can compete in meeting market demands for clean fuels, chemical feedstocks, and electricity in the 21st century.
