Annual Meeting and Workshops Summary

The Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) PCOR Partnership
Annual Meeting and Workshops were held at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Maple Grove,
Minnesota, September 16-18, 2008. These events were extremely beneficial for PCOR
Partnership members, as relationships were made and great discussion was engaged.
Annual Meeting Summary
The PCOR Partnership Annual Meeting began on Wednesday, September 17, 2008. The meeting
offered an informative and interactive atmosphere for PCOR Partnership members, providing
an update on the progress of the geologic and terrestrial Phase II validation test
activities and the upcoming Phase III demonstration projects. The meeting concluded
on Thursday, September 18, with a panel discussion from our partners on various
carbon management activities within their businesses.
Workshop Summaries
In conjunction with this year’s PCOR Partnership Annual Meeting, the following workshops
were held on Tuesday, September 16, 2008:
- CO2 Capture, Separation, and Compression
This half day workshop covered a wide range of topics from CO2
capture technologies and applications to CO2 compression, transport, and economics.
- Carbon Market Trading
In order to provide our partners with details on emerging carbon markets,
a half day meeting was held to discuss current and future activities, as well
as an overview of regional and national initiatives.
Geologic Working Group Side Meeting Summary
A number of partners involved in geologic characterization within the PCOR Partnership
held their yearly meeting on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, in conjunction with the PCOR
Partnership Annual Meeting. These partners included various entities from public agencies,
utilities, oil and gas companies, and universities.
Demographics
The PCOR Partnership 2008 Annual Meeting and Workshops attracted 99 attendees representing
55 organizations from 18 states and five Canadian provinces.

The PCOR Partnership would like to thank our partners for their support and participation. We
