The EERC NCHT is developing a method to provide purified hydrogen to remote battlefield
locations. High-pressure water reforming is one solution that occurs in two steps. First, a
high-pressure, hydrogen-rich gas is produced from pressurized liquid feedstock. Next, that
high-pressure gas is purified to 100% hydrogen at high pressure. This EERC hydrogen-on-demand technology does not require any gas compression, which is a known technological
challenge. With the EERC technology, the hydrogen is right there as
hydrogen on demand.
