Hydrogen from Renewables
Producing hydrogen from renewable resources, such as wind and biomass, has many benefits. Through domestic production of hydrogen from renewable resources, we can reduce our dependence on imported oil. Hydrogen produced from renewables enables a clean and secure energy future.

Hydrogen can be used directly as an energy source, or hydrogen-rich syngas can be used to make synthetic fuels to be used as hydrogen carriers or as replacements for oil and natural gas. Also, using hydrogen as a fuel in a fuel cell, turbine, or internal combustion engine produces no harmful emissions, only water, and hydrogen can be produced with reduced or near-zero emissions.
