International Attendees
The Air Quality Conference appreciates the input and diversity that
international attendees provide. We welcome your participation and
encourage you to register early to accommodate the necessary
paperwork required.
U.S. Visas
U.S. visas are issued by American consular officials according
to the requirements of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Federal
regulations now require more thorough visa processing, so international
attendees are encouraged to apply for visas 3 to 4 months in advance of
the conference. International attendees are solely responsible for all
forms, filings and contacts with a United States consulate in their country
of origin to obtain a visa to enter the United States. The EERC cannot
intervene on behalf of the invitees with the Embassy or Consulate via fax,
phone, surface mail, or e-mail.
Letter of Invitation to the International Conference on Air Quality
Attendees requiring a Letter of Invitation for the passport and
visa application process are required to first register and submit
payment for the conference (visit our online participant
registration).
Then submit an e-mail to LaRae Foerster at lfoerster@undeerc.org requesting the letter. Once you have
submitted your registration, and we have received your payment, an invitation
letter with original signature will be sent by mail via the U.S. Postal
Service using standard international delivery. Due to the costs involved,
the EERC cannot send letters of invitation via express mail services or
fax. For security purposes, we do not e-mail letters.
